Terms of Service

Clippin (“Clippin”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the service operated at clippin.tv and app.clippin.tv. Clippin is currently operated by an individual sole operator rather than a registered company; correspondence and legal notice should be sent to Albo@clippin.tv.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and us. By creating an account, connecting a social account, or otherwise using Clippin, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Clippin.

If you are using Clippin on behalf of a streamer, an agency, or an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf, and “you” means both you and that organisation.

Clippin is a production tool for livestream clipping teams. It:

• monitors the public live chat of streams you tell it to watch on Twitch and Kick, and flags moments where the chat reacts;
• retrieves the corresponding segment of the stream’s video-on-demand and stores working copies so they can be edited;
• transcribes speech and uses automated systems, including third-party AI models, to suggest which moments are worth clipping and to generate captions, titles and descriptions;
• renders vertical short-form videos with captions, overlays, effects and sound; and
• where you have connected a YouTube channel and instructed us to, uploads the finished video to that channel. Publishing to TikTok, Instagram and X is in development — connecting those accounts today stores the authorisation but does not yet post.

Clippin is under active development. Features described on our marketing pages may be in progress, gated behind a plan, or changed. We may add, change or remove functionality at any time.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Clippin. Access to the Clippin application requires signing in with a Discord account, and access may additionally be limited to members of a team we have provisioned for you.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us at Albo@clippin.tv immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You keep ownership of your content. Streams, recordings, clips, footage, artwork, audio and anything else you upload to Clippin or direct Clippin to process remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

To operate the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcode, transcribe, analyse, edit, render and — where you have asked us to publish — transmit your content. This licence exists only so that we can run the features you asked for, lasts only as long as we hold the content, and ends when the content is deleted.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use your content or your connected accounts’ data to train machine-learning models.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you put through Clippin. You confirm that, for every stream, clip or asset you process, you either own it or have permission from the rights holder to use it in the way you are using it — including any music, game footage, third-party clips, emotes and on-screen artwork it contains.

Clippin can connect to social accounts you own or manage — for example YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Twitch — using each platform’s official authorisation flow. You always perform that authorisation yourself, in the platform’s own consent screen.

• We only ever act on accounts you have connected, and only within the permissions that platform’s consent screen showed you.
• When Clippin uploads a video, it does so as you, on your instruction. The post is yours, appears on your account, and you are responsible for it exactly as if you had uploaded it by hand.
• You confirm you are authorised to connect each account. Do not connect an account you do not own or have not been given permission to manage.
• You can disconnect any account at any time from the Connections page inside Clippin, which deletes the stored credentials for it. You can also revoke access from the platform’s own settings.

Clippin is built on top of other companies’ APIs. When you use a feature that touches one of those platforms, you are also bound by that platform’s terms, and their rules take precedence over ours in respect of their own service.

• YouTube. Clippin uses YouTube API Services. By using those features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke Clippin’s access to your Google data at any time via the Google security settings page.
• TikTok. Use of TikTok features is subject to the TikTok Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• Instagram and Facebook. Subject to the Instagram Terms of Use and Meta’s Privacy Policy.
• X. Subject to the X Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• Twitch and Kick. Subject to the Twitch Terms of Service and the Kick Terms of Service respectively.

We are not responsible for those platforms, and we cannot guarantee continued access to them. A platform may change, restrict, rate-limit or withdraw its API, or suspend a connected account, and any of those may reduce or disable parts of Clippin without notice.

You agree not to use Clippin to:

• upload, clip or publish content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes anyone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
• post to an account you are not authorised to manage, or impersonate another creator;
• create or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
• break the rules of any connected platform, including spam, artificial engagement, and posting undisclosed paid promotion where disclosure is required;
• scrape, resell or redistribute the service, circumvent rate limits or plan restrictions, or attempt to access another customer’s data;
• probe, damage or interfere with the service or the infrastructure it runs on.

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or disconnect a social account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken or that continuing would expose us or a platform partner to legal risk.

If you believe content processed or published through Clippin infringes your copyright, email Albo@clippin.tv with:

• your contact details;
• identification of the work you say is infringed;
• a link to, or description of, the material you want removed;
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate; and
• your signature, electronic or physical.

We will act on valid notices promptly, and we will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If content was published to a third-party platform, that platform’s own copyright process is usually the faster route and we will point you to it.

Some parts of Clippin are offered on paid plans and add-ons, described on our pricing surfaces. Where a plan is paid, prices, inclusions and limits are those shown at the time you subscribe. Payments, where taken, are processed by our payment processor; we do not store your full card details.

Where a recurring subscription is offered and you take one: unless stated otherwise it renews automatically for the same period until cancelled, fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law, and we may change prices with reasonable notice, taking effect at your next renewal.

We may offer free, trial, beta or early-access usage. Those may carry lower limits, may be withdrawn, and are provided without any commitment to continued availability.

Clippin uses automated speech recognition and AI models to transcribe streams, decide which moments look clip-worthy, and draft captions, titles and descriptions. These systems make mistakes: transcripts contain errors, a suggested moment may be wrong, and generated text may be inaccurate or inappropriate for your audience.

Clippin is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that clips will be captured, that renders will complete, or that uploads to third-party platforms will succeed. Streams, VODs and platform APIs are outside our control and frequently are the cause when something does not run.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not a backup service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost views, lost followers, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or relating to your use of Clippin.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of Clippin, your breach of these Terms, your breach of a connected platform’s terms, or your violation of anyone’s rights.

You may stop using Clippin at any time, disconnect your social accounts from the Connections page, and request deletion of your data — see Data Deletion.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law or by a platform partner, or if we discontinue the service. Where we discontinue the service without cause, we will give reasonable notice and a window to retrieve your content.

On termination, the licence you granted us in §4 ends. We stop processing your content, and we delete it when you ask us to — see Data Deletion. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law — do.

We may update these Terms as the product and the platforms it depends on change. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Clippin after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute that is not resolved informally.

Before filing anything, please email Albo@clippin.tv. Nearly everything is faster to fix that way, and we will make a genuine effort to resolve it with you.
